GOLDEN GLOBES 2024: SEE HOW THE STARS SHINED
The 81st Golden Globes awards was a star-studded affair filled with fashion, television, and – thanks to this year’s host, comedian, and actor Jo Koy - lots of laughs.
Held at the iconic Beverly Hilton, the Golden Globes honor the best in film and American television produced in 2023.
This year’s appearances ranged from actors like Timothée Chalamet and Bradley Cooper to singer songwriter superstar Taylor Swift in custom Gucci (as her Eras Tour film competed (and lost) against Barbie in the newly minted award for “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement”).
We all tuned in to see the two biggest films of 2023 — Barbie and Oppenheimer— battle of who would receive the most globes.
With Barbie claiming nine globes and Oppenheimer receiving eight globes but also the most nominations of the year.
In the end, however, it was Oppenheimer who took the grand prize of the night – the award for Best Motion Picture with Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., and director Christopher Nolan awarded their respective globes as well.
In television, both Succession and The Bear won out. Actors, Emma Stone and Natalie Portman, received Best Performance nods.
